Author Guidelines

Thank you for choosing the International Journal of Research, Innovation and Practice for your research. To ensure a smooth peer-review process, authors must adhere strictly to the following guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements will be returned for technical revision before being sent to reviewers.

1. General Requirements

  • Originality: Submissions must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration by another journal.

  • Language: All manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English.

  • Format: Files should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

  • Anonymization: For our Double-Blind Peer Review, please remove all author names, affiliations, and identifying metadata from the main manuscript file. Provide a separate Title Page with author details.

2. Manuscript Structure

Standard research papers should generally follow the IMRaD structure:

  1. Title: Concise and informative (max 20 words).

  2. Abstract: A single paragraph (200–250 words) summarizing the objective, methodology, results, and conclusion.

  3. Keywords: 4 to 6 keywords for indexing purposes.

  4. Introduction: Background, problem statement, and objectives.

  5. Methodology: Clear description of the research design, participants/materials, and procedures.

  6. Results: Clear presentation of findings using tables and figures where necessary.

  7. Discussion & Conclusion: Interpretation of results, limitations, and practical implications.

  8. References: List all cited sources.

3. Formatting & Style

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12pt, double-spaced.

  • Tables/Figures: Must be placed within the text where they are first mentioned. Titles should be descriptive (e.g., Table 1: Demographic Profile of Participants).

  • Citations: The International Journal of Research, Innovation and Practice follows the APA 7th Edition (or your preferred style, e.g., Harvard or Vancouver) for in-text citations and the reference list.

4. Policy Compliance (Mandatory)

Authors must confirm compliance with the following during the submission process:

  • Plagiarism: Similarity must be below 10% (excluding references). The International Journal of Research, Innovation and Practice follows UGC guidelines for plagiarism levels.

  • AI Usage: Use of generative AI must be disclosed. AI-generated text/content must not exceed 20% of the manuscript.

  • Ethics: Studies involving humans or animals must include an Ethics Statement and confirm that Informed Consent was obtained.

5. Submission Checklist

Before uploading to the OJS portal, ensure you have:

  • [ ] A Title Page (Names, Affiliations, ORCID iDs, and Contact Email).

  • [ ] An Anonymized Manuscript (No author details).

  • [ ] High-resolution figures (if applicable).

  • [ ] A Conflict of Interest statement.

  • [ ] Disclosure of any Funding Sources.


Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission is original and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

  • Indexing & Metadata: To ensure that published articles are correctly attributed and indexed in academic databases (e.g., Google Scholar, Crossref).

  • Website Improvement: To monitor site traffic and improve the user experience through OJS.

3. Disclosure to Third Parties

IJRIP does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties, with the following exceptions:

  • Metadata Sharing: Author names, affiliations, and emails are shared with indexing services and DOI registration agencies (like Crossref) once an article is published.

  • Legal Compliance: We may release information when requested by law to comply with legal processes.

4. Data Retention and Security

  • Permanent Record: Published research remains part of the permanent scholarly record. Therefore, author names and affiliations associated with published works cannot be deleted.

  • Security Measures: We implement industry-standard security measures provided by the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform to maintain the safety of your personal information.

  • Right to Access: Users may log in to their profiles at any time to update or correct their personal data.

5. Cookies

The journal website uses cookies only to manage user sessions (e.g., keeping you logged in) and to enhance site navigation. These cookies do not collect personal information from your computer.
